For those with at least a year’s subbing
experience, this course will teach you to deal with news
stories and features quickly and accurately and provide
tips on treading the fine line between rewriting and heavy
subbing. The session features practical exercises with copy
from your publication and advice on coaching junior subs.

• Revising page proofs
• Writing sharper headlines,
standfirsts and captions
• Breakout boxes that work harder
